16-Hour On-The-Job (O-T-J) Training: Must be completed within 90 days of starting work as a security guard.

All our online training programs are approved by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (NYS DCJS) and delivered through interactive live sessions that meet industry standards.
Eligibility Requirements
To enroll in our security guard card online training and become a licensed private security guard, applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.
Complete and pass the 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course before applying to the New York Department of State Division of Licensing Services for a Security Guard Registration Card.
After completing the 8-hour pre-assignment course, applicants must:
Submit fingerprints for a background check.
Pass the background screening as required by New York State regulations.
